COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

You can sign up either here on our website, or you can call our scheduling line at 316-927-2050. Please feel free to contact us if you are unsure of which class you should be signing up for. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please let us know when you sign up for your course. We will do our best to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements.

Cards are issued immediately in email, on the same day of the class, after successful completion and payment has been received.

We offer the following American Heart Association courses on a regular basis. All listed courses are a 2 year certification.

Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR for the Healthcare Provider

EVENT FEES - COURSE $50 BOOK $20

This is the course required by most employees in the medical field (i.e. hospitals, nursing homes, hospice care, clinics, dental offices, physical therapist, etc.)

  • Core topics include Adult, Child and Infant CPR, Conscious Choking, and AED
  • Class is approximately 3 hours long

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

EVENT FEES - COURSE $175 BOOK $55

Course aimed at the advanced skills of cardiac related issues. Covered are the algorithms, full mega codes and medication usages in these scenarios.

  • This course is typically required in medical environments where intubation occurs but is occasionally required in other settings such as clinics, medical first-responders, nursing homes, etc.
  • Class is approximately 6 – 8 hours long

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

EVENT FEES - COURSE $175 BOOK $65

Course aimed at the advanced skills of cardiac related issues in children and infants. Covered are the algorithms, full mega codes and medication usages in these pediatric scenarios.

  • This course is typically required in medical environments where intubation occurs but is occasionally required in other settings such as clinics, medical first-responders, etc.
  • Class is approximately 6 – 8 hours long

Heartsaver CPR

EVENT FEES - COURSE $40 BOOK $15

This course is designed for anyone else outside of the medical community that is interested or required to learn the basic skills in aiding in cardiac arrest. Covered is conscious choking, CPR and Automated External Defibrilllator or “AED” for the adult, child and infant victim.

  • This certification is often required for individuals working in child care and corporate environments.
  • Class is approximately 2 hours long

Heartsaver First Aid

EVENT FEES - COURSE $50 BOOK $15

Another general community course covering the steps to aid in many different minor medical emergency situations including bleeding, burns, broken bones, stroke, heart attacks, and severe allergy reactions.

  • Emphasis is on the adult victim in a work related situation.
  • Class is approximately 3 hours long

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

EVENT FEES - COURSE $70 BOOK $15

This is a combined course of both topics above.

  • Heartsaver First Aid and CPR
  • Class is approximately 4 – 6 hours long

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid

EVENT FEES - COURSE $50 BOOK $15

Another general community course covering the steps to aid in many different minor medical emergency situations, including bleeding, burns, broken bones, and severe allergic reactions. Similar to the general First Aid class, but with an emphasis on the child victim.

  • This certification is often required for individuals working in child care, foster parenting and adoption requirements.
  • Class is approximately 3 hours long

This is a combined course of both topics covered above.

  • Class is approximately 4 – 6 hours long

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) 4 year certification

EVENT FEES - COURSE $250 BOOK $80

The course objective is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with knowledge, skills, and a systematic process to guide trauma patient care.

After taking TNCC, nurses will be able to systematically assess the trauma patient, to intervene and/or assist with interventions, and to provide evidence-based trauma nursing care within the context of a trauma team.

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) 4 year certification

EVENT FEES - COURSE $250 BOOK $70

The course objective is to provide knowledge and psychomotor skills needed to care for pediatric patients in the emergency setting.
